Two accounts with separate permissions
- Customer portal: manage your company's downloads, licenses, billing, and Requests. Owners and billing admins can perform commercial license actions and accept required Terms.
- Installed Naradox: local or configured Entra accounts access your own deployment. Local permissions decide who can manage its license, users, connectors, and firewall workflows.
A portal owner is not automatically an administrator of the installed product. A customer-portal membership also does not create an account or reserve a licensed-user seat inside a deployment. Ask the relevant administrator when an action is unavailable; do not create a second company account to work around a missing permission.
Use Customer portal for activation, invitations, and portal account security. Use Sign-in and security for users inside the installed deployment.
Import your first signed license
- In the portal, open Licenses and identify the correct deployment, user limit, and expiry.
- Use the available issue action if material has not yet been created. Download
license.json or copy the matching Naradox: string. - Sign in to your installed Naradox as an administrator allowed to manage its license. Open Platform > Licensing.
- Upload the file or paste the string, then confirm the displayed capacity, deployment identity, and expiry.
Expected result: the installed product accepts the signature and shows the intended license. The first signed import binds the installation to the issued deployment and customer IDs. Keep each deployment's file with that deployment; do not import another customer's or another deployment's material as a replacement.
After your evaluation
Free is a 90-day €0 evaluation for one deployment with up to 5 licensed users. It starts at signup, ends on the date shown in Licenses, and cannot be renewed. Free has no grace period: the installed Naradox stops firewall changes on the signed end date.
- 30 days before the end: the installed product shows a banner with the end date, the portal emails the owners and billing admins, and Licenses and Billing offer one action: buy Professional.
- 14 and 7 days before the end: the portal repeats the reminder; the banner keeps counting down.
- On the end date: the installed product blocks firewall changes until a Professional license is imported. Your data, configuration, and audit trail stay in place.
To continue, an owner or billing admin opens Billing, chooses the total number of licensed users (at least 3), and completes the purchase. The portal then issues a Professional license for your deployment; download it from Licenses and import it using the steps above. Buying before the end date keeps the deployment running without interruption.
Buy or change Professional capacity
Professional starts at 3 licensed users and costs €250 excluding VAT per licensed user per year. There is no fixed paid bundle. Enter the total capacity you need in Billing; the pricing page explains the annual total.
- Increase during the term: review the quote and confirm the additional total. Additions are prorated for the remaining term; capacity increases only after the payment is confirmed.
- Payment needs attention: follow the existing pending action in Billing, such as completing payment in Stripe. Check that action's state before trying another purchase.
- Decrease at renewal: select the lower total in Billing, down to the minimum of 3. The reduction takes effect at the current term's end, without a mid-term credit. If several deployment allocations together exceed the requested total, reduce or redistribute them first. One eligible deployment can be capped automatically when the decrease takes effect, as shown in Billing.
- Cancellation: cancelling Professional ends the Software Entitlement at the end of the current paid term, and your license expires with it. The deployment does not fall back to Free.
Professional renews annually until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of its current paid term. Review the current confirmation and Terms for cancellation, refund, and tax treatment. Optional Support follows the Professional term and ends when Professional ends.
Each yearly renewal needs a new import. The signed license expires on the paid term's end date. After the renewal payment is confirmed, the portal issues the renewed license and shows it in Licenses. Naradox keeps operational actions open for 14 days after the signed end date with a warning, then blocks firewall changes until the renewed license is imported. Plan the import within those two weeks; downloading the file before the end date avoids the warning altogether. This grace period applies to Professional only, not to the Free evaluation.
Distribute capacity across deployments
Professional capacity belongs to the customer account and can be allocated across deployment license files. One signed file is for one self-hosted deployment. The sum of deployment allocations must fit the available pool, including any lower ceiling from a scheduled decrease.
- In Licenses, check purchased, allocated, and available capacity.
- To move capacity, reduce the source deployment's allocation before increasing another or adding a deployment.
- Import each resulting replacement into its corresponding installed deployment. Prepare its reserved seats first when reducing capacity.
- Remove an allocation only when that deployment is no longer needed. Review any affected Optional Support coverage separately.
Removing a portal allocation does not remotely erase a license already imported into an offline deployment. Decommission that deployment under your own controls. Keep at least one active Professional allocation for the account; Free permits one deployment.
What offline verification means
Naradox verifies the signature, customer and deployment binding, licensed-user capacity, and expiry locally. Day-to-day governance does not require a continuous portal connection. The signed expiry still applies; keeping the host offline does not extend the term.
Import a replacement after a signed capacity, plan, or expiry change, including each paid renewal and the move from the Free evaluation to Professional. A lost local copy normally needs only another download of the current file. A moved or recovered installation must preserve its documented deployment identity; follow the recovery procedure rather than creating an unrelated license.
If license issuance or import fails
- Material is pending: review the saved entitlement, Terms, payment, and issuance status. If the change was saved, retry the offered license action rather than purchasing again.
- Replacement capacity is too small: in the installed product, open Platform > Licensing → Manage reserved seats. An authorized identity administrator can release Entra seats, cancel pending invitations, or delete unneeded local accounts, then retry import.
- Local account is only disabled: disabling it retains its reserved seat. Use the appropriate offered cleanup action; the last active local administrator cannot be deleted.
- Signature, identity, or expiry error: check the correct deployment file and its portal status. Do not edit the signed file or repeatedly substitute licenses from other deployments.
- Portal material is on hold: use Billing to resolve the financial state or contact account support. A support purchase does not bypass a software-access hold.
Send the deployment label, displayed status, version, and sanitized error through a support request. Do not attach the raw license file or paste the license string into an ordinary message.
Optional Support is a separate entitlement
Best-effort support Requests are included for active Free and Professional deployments that are not subject to a billing hold. Optional Support is €1,999 excluding VAT per selected deployment per year, for a Professional deployment, and targets a first substantive response in 1–2 business days. It is not an SLA, and resolution time is not guaranteed.
Optional Support does not add licensed users, extend software expiry, or unlock software downloads. It stays in the portal and is not embedded in the signed software license. It follows your Professional subscription: you can buy it while Professional renews, the first term runs until the next Professional renewal date and is charged pro rata, and it then renews each year on the same date as Professional. When Professional is set to end, Optional Support ends on the same date. Cancelling Optional Support on its own takes effect at the end of its term and does not cancel Professional. Self-service paid plans are for business customers.
Product help and troubleshooting are covered as described in the support scope. Implementation, migration, custom development, and operation performed for you need a separate written agreement. See the Terms for the applicable commercial conditions.
